Crossfader

image11

Guayadeque can play tracks in two modes : Gapless or Crossfading

To select Gapless play mode just set the Out length option to 0

Out Length : is the time in seconds the current playing track will take to finish In Length : is the time in seconds the next track will take to be at full volume In Vol. Start : is the percentage of the volume at which the next track starts. For example, a value of 8.0 means at 80% In start : determines the point at which both songs are mixed. It gives the actual amount of overlap between tracks.

The drawing shows how the songs are mixed when cross fading.

Out Length determines the length of the black line, In Length controls the slope of the purple line, In Vol. Start is the height of the yellow line and In start is the length of the red line.

With 'Filter crossfade by track labels' checked, tracks carrying one of the system labels #NoCrossFade#, #NoCrossFadeIn# or #NoCrossFadeOut# skip the crossfade ramps: a track labeled itself, through its artist or through its album, fades in at full volume (#NoCrossFadeIn#), plays to the end instead of being cut early (#NoCrossFadeOut#), or both (#NoCrossFade#). The three labels come pre-registered in every library; they are system labels, so they can be assigned to tracks, artists and albums but cannot be renamed or deleted. With the crossfader disabled nothing changes and no label lookup happens. Off by default.
